Xiaomin is a senior investment professional with over 17 years of experience in technology innovation, venture capital and venture fund investments with multiple full cycle deals in the emerging markets. Since 2021, she has headed IFC’s VC investments in Europe, Turkey, and Central Asia. She also headed IFC’s Startup Catalyst program, which supports startup ecosystems globally through investments in incubators and accelerators in challenging markets. From 2018-2021, she was global head of IFC’s venture capital funds program and from 2010-2018, she was based in Beijing, responsible for IFC’s VC investments in China. Prior to the IFC, she was with the Boston Consulting Group in Munich, Germany. Xiaomin holds Ph.D., M.Eng, and B.S. degrees in electrical engineering, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and is a member of the MIT Educational Council.
