Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialization in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Ankara High Specialization Hospital (Ankara Yüksek İhtisas Hastanesi). He pursued advanced fellowship studies on organ transplantation and artificial heart devices in Switzerland and the USA.
For many years, Prof. Dr. Kervan served as an administrator and training officer at the Ankara City Hospital (Ankara Şehir Hastanesi). He actively participates in various scientific boards within the Ministry of Health and the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
Prof. Dr. Kervan has contributed over 200 academic works to national and international literature. As of August 5, 2024, he serves as the President of the Turkish Health Institutes (TÜSEB).
