Omar Kunbargi is the Director of Global Business Development at SpaceX. He works directly with leadership in governments and space agencies around the world advising space programs on Starship’s potential to make life multiplanetary.
Omar started his eight-year career at SpaceX as an engineering intern on the Crew Dragon program. After graduate school he continued at SpaceX as a spacecraft engineer working on the Demo-1 and Demo-2 Dragon missions. After the successful launch of astronauts to orbit, Omar transitioned to the business side of SpaceX taking a leading role in commercial launch sales. He has worked with space agencies, satellite operators, manufactures, and governments across the world to help deliver their astronauts and payloads to space.
Prior to SpaceX Omar received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA and his bachelors from UC Berkeley.
