Mehmet Fatih Kacır

Minister of Industry and Technology, Republic of Türkiye

As one of the pioneers of Turkey’s National Technology Initiative (Milli Teknoloji Hamlesi), Mehmet Fatih Kacır was born on October 16, 1984, in Istanbul.

After graduating from Istanbul Erkek High School, he ranked 12th nationwide in the 2003 university entrance exam and began his undergraduate studies in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University. He graduated with honors in 2008. During his university years, he served as a student representative and led initiatives in project management, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

Following his graduation, Kacır became a founding member of several technology ventures operating in areas such as simulation software, augmented reality, digital outdoor advertising, and industrial design. During this period, he developed multiple utility models and patented systems. He also organized educational programs, project competitions, and engineering events to encourage young people to engage with technology.

In 2016, he co-founded the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation). Between 2016 and 2018, he served as the Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, the foundation launched numerous projects such as the DENEYAP Technology Workshops, the "Technology Stars of the Future" program, science centers, and entrepreneurship hubs. He is also one of the founding figures of TEKNOFEST—one of the world’s largest aerospace and technology festivals—and served as its Executive Board Chairman.

During his term as Deputy Minister, he contributed to the nationwide expansion of DENEYAP Technology Workshops across all 81 provinces, facilitated funding for tech startups, and supported the growth of ecosystems in defense and deep-tech sectors. He also served on the Board of Directors of ASELSAN between 2019 and 2023.
