İlhan Yılmaz was born in 1975 in Istanbul. He graduated from Marmara University in 1996.

He founded Fokus Bilgisayar in 2000. In the early years, the company used to sell wholesale computer equipment to technology companies. In 2005, the Monster Notebook brand was born and the company's first computers were produced and sold.

Today, Monster Notebook is among the top three in the gaming notebook market in Turkey. With its stores in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, and the Monster Notebook Digital Store, it reaches end users from all over Turkey. It is also active in Cyprus with its store in Lefkoşa and in the Arab region with its operations in Dubai. Monster Notebook which started its European operations with the store it opened in Berlin at the end of 2020, it got into the UK market as of 2022. Semruk Games was established in October 2021 to draw attention to issues that require social awareness through digital games.

İlhan Yılmaz continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Monster Notebook and Semruk Games. He is married and has two children.
